About the product

Metal Guard is a ceramic coating for rims and metal components. Thanks to its durability, it is perfect for surfaces exposed to high temperatures, such as exhaust tips and brake calipers. Metal Guard effectively protects against road salt, iron dust and other contaminants. Dirt does not stick permanently to the protected surface, so maintenance is quick, simple and does not require the use of strong chemicals. The product ensures a high gloss. You can also use it on matte elements, where it will emphasize the satin appearance of the surface. The coating is highly hydrophobic, allowing you to keep your rims clean for longer.

Metal Guard is easy and quick to apply and at the same time very efficient. Only a few millilitres of the product are needed to protect a set of four wheels. Metal Guard is one of the most durable coatings in the ULTRACOAT range that protects your rims for 2 seasons after application.

How to use it

Shake the bottle well, then apply a generous amount of the product to the applicator. Spread evenly over the surface using a crosshatch pattern. Allow the product to dwell for 30 seconds, then remove any excess with a clean microfiber towel. Buff with the dry side of the towel for a perfect finish. Leave the vehicle for 24 hours to allow the coating to fully cure.

Important: Do not apply to hot surfaces. Wear a protective mask and gloves.

Can I apply a protective coating by myself?

Yes, applying the coating yourself is possible, but it requires proper preparation and ensuring optimal conditions at the workspace. Our products are designed so that, as long as the correct procedures are followed, the application is user-friendly even for those just starting their detailing journey.

How long can I use a coating after it has been opened?

The coating should be used within 6 months of opening the bottle. Remember to store the product in a cool, shaded place - this will prevent premature crystallization and maintain the highest quality of the formula for your next application.

Can I apply Metal Guard to matte paint?

Yes, the coating will not increase the gloss of matte or satin surfaces - they will retain their original finish.

The car has been repainted. How long should I wait before applying a coating?

In the case of freshly painted components, we recommend waiting a minimum of 3 weeks before application; however, the final decision should be consulted with your painter.

Is coating application safe for health?

Our coatings contain solvents with a characteristic odor. We recommend working in well-ventilated areas. In the absence of proper air circulation or during long-term professional use, it is recommended to use a protective mask with an organic vapor filter and protective gloves.
