Washing is the fundamental stage of car care that has a direct impact on the safety of the entire detailing process. Its purpose is not simply to remove visible dirt, but above all to prepare the surface for subsequent work - such as decontamination, correction or coating application. The quality of the wash determines whether every stage that follows will be fully safe for the paintwork.

Pre-wash - The Key to Minimising the Risk of Scratches

Pre-washing involves removing loose contaminants from the vehicle's surface before any mechanical contact takes place. At this stage, the greatest volume of dirt is dissolved and rinsed away, significantly reducing the risk of micro-scratches during the main wash. This is particularly important because fine particles of sand and other contaminants are the most common cause of paintwork damage.
